Officers Installed for 2020-2021
At the December Holiday Dinner at Avalon Links restaurant on December 7th, the new slate of Executive Officers for the two-year term 2020-2021 was installed.
Outgoing Auxiliary President Vicki Heebner officiated over the ceremony, installing the new officers: Marge Carter, formerly 1st Vice-President, is now Auxiliary President; Claire Paugh, formerly Recording Secretary, has moved into the 1st Vice-President slot; new member Anne Hassel was elected 2nd Vice-President; and Team Cape member Noreen DiPadova assumed the Recording Secretary position.
Past President Marie Sluberski will continue in the same position she held, as will Daniel Borawski, Auxiliary Treasurer.
Committee chairpersons Wilda Richardson (Nominating); and Kris Poole (Web & Newsletter) will continue in their roles. Barbara Dix assumes her position as Sunshine Committee chair January 1st. Ruthann Johnson will join Susan Handron in overseeing the Scholarship Committee. There is currently an opening for a Membership Committee chair.

New $1.5M Committment to Claire C Brodesser Surgery Center
With our outstanding pledge met, the Auxiliary Executive Board discussed several options for a new goal. At the Annual Meeting in November, it was announced that the Auxiliary would undertake a new, $1.5M dollar pledge in support of the Claire C Brodesser Surgery Center. All fund-raising monies raised in the next ten years will go towards meeting this goal.
Construction on the 20,000 sq. foot facility is scheduled to be completed Summer of 2020.

Cape Regional Auxiliary Presents Final Check of 10-Year Pledge
At the Cape Regional Auxiliary Annual Meeting & Luncheon, held on November 7, 2019 at Avalon Links, Auxiliary President Vicki Heebner presented the final check for $140,000 to Joanne Carrocino, FACHE, CEO of Cape Regional Medical Systems and Tom Piratsky, Vice President CRMC Foundation.
In addition to the Board, which operates The EtCetera Shop in Cape May Court House and The EtCetera Shop 2 in North Cape May, each affiliate branch of the Auxiliary conducts fund-raising efforts throughout the year. This check represents all monies raised during 2018 and is a partial payment against the Auxiliary’s $1 Million pledge to the Thomas & Claire Brodesser Cancer Center at Cape Regional.
2019 50-50 Raffle Winners
After a long successful summer of selling tickets, the drawing for our $20,000 Prize Raffle was held on September 6th in the Cafeteria of the medical center. Thanks to the efforts of our fantastic sales team, all 400 tickets were sold, which allowed the full amount of the prize pool to be awarded.
